Last year we donated a service to Weston Park Mercury to the Fire and Flood Auction in aid of the Black Saturday victims in Victoria and flood victims in Queensland. Barb Marchant from Alpha Stud was the lucky purchaser of the service and now her foal has finally arrived. Born on 3/12/10 a beautiful buckskin Welsh B colt out of Trentlyn Jade. Congratulations to Barb, photos below at a couple of hours old.
Congratulations to Thorwood and Somerfield Studs on the birth of their gorgeous WP Mercury babies both born on the same day.
Thorwood Stud were lucky enough to have a beautiful cremello or perlino Section A Riding Pony colt born out of Beleradah Spun Sugar while Somerfield Stud had a very elegant Buckskin Section A Riding Pony filly out of Willowcroft Tapestry.
We say a very tearful goodbye to our Australian Champion Mare Pearl of Marconi as she embarks on a new stage of her life in NSW with her new owner Nicole Rivett. The decision to sell Pearl was the hardest one ever made but the perfect home that Nicole offers made it a little easier. We wish Nicole much fun and success with Pearl, she is a one in a million pony.
We will be welcoming some new faces in the new year with the arrival of a lovely Welsh Section B mare on lease for a year from Brampton Stud.
Brampton Prima Donna aka Blondie arrives in foal to Oak Park Montezuma and will return after weaning her foal, to her home at Brampton in foal to Mallawa Park Sh`Boom. We thank Narelle Pollard for her generosity in allowing Blondie to come stay with us for a while. A couple of other new faces will also arrive, details later.
We are already looking forward to a very exciting foaling season in 2011. We are expecting the following foals in the new season
